I am quite familiar with the three types of Instructional Design that are common into the education system that involves an integration of learning systems, computer-based learning, and classroom level technology. I’ve always used gameshows to express those three functions of (ID). The gameshow that I produce cause students to engage in learning systems that students could relate to their lives.I am providing students with real life scenarios that relates to educational learning systems. Like for instance if you show students the steps of learning how to read through in a scenario and then allow the students to evaluate that scenario, answering questions on the promethean board, using the multiple choice method as a way to select the best possible choice when filling in the blanks, critical thinking questions, and compare/contrast.
I consider this gameshow as a learning system that can impact the way students view reading and how they could possibly help a friend or give the student who actually can’t read proper instructions to learn to read through the interactive game show between teachers, students, and technology. Being able to video record gameshows that are geared toward spreading education through the acts of real life based scenarios. I think students can relate to a product that is providing educational game, Educational Simulation, drill, practice, and tutorial relative and based on a true event. As a teacher I am sure to make sure that the gameshow is aligned with the state standards with the selected digital technology strategies.

Hi Lamarr, I really enjoyed your post and am interested in your gameshow technique. I have sometimes used a jeopardy style game to play with students in my class, sometime with good success and other times it has bombed completely. I like that your focus is on getting them to critically engage with real life scenarios, I wish more educators would take that approach, glad you are implementing it into your own classrooms! I am going to have to revisit my own past gameshow attempts and see how I can try to improve them, since I think this is a great idea. Thanks again for the great post.
